March 17 Legal Update

Thank you again to everyone who contributed to our initial $30,000 legal retainer. We have officially retained Gibson Legal Group, and their team are now actively reviewing the record and preparing the petition for Judicial Review. The petition will be filed by March 25, which is our 30-day deadline required by law.

Based on the typical pace of court proceedings, Gibson Legal Group has advised that this process will likely extend into late summer.

Both David Weekley and the Town of Brownsburg will be named in the Judicial Review and will be formally notified once it is filed. In many cases, developers choose to wait and see how judicial review proceedings unfold before moving forward.

The most important thing we can do right now is keep Hawk’s Landing in the spotlight and keep the pressure on.

If you have not yet, please follow the official Facebook page.

After paying the initial retainer, our legal fund currently has about $1,500 remaining. As this process continues, we will eventually need to replenish the retainer as additional work is performed.

We will keep everyone informed as the case progresses and as those needs arise.
